Get ready to embark on a prehistoric journey as you travel to an ancient dinosaur watering hole and into a spectacular slot canyon!
Your 4.5-hour adventure kicks off with a convenient pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Kanab, UT. Your expert guide will welcome you aboard a climate-controlled 4x4 truck before heading out into the desert. After about 15 minutes of driving, you’ll leave the pavement behind and enjoy the thrill of driving through deep desert sands!
Following your wild ride, you’ll walk approximately 100 yards to the entrance of the Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon. Admire towering red walls as you hike approximately 1 mile through the canyon. Squeeze through narrow spaces, navigate obstacles, and watch as the sunlight illuminates the sculpted walls in a fire-like glow! Along the way, you’ll learn about the canyon’s geology and look for evidence of the Native Americans who once lived here.
Next, you’ll venture west to an incredible dinosaur track site. You won’t believe your eyes as you pull up to a rock slab covered in hundreds of footprints, claw marks, and more. Learn how these prints were preserved through time and imagine what life was like 180 million years ago.

Do I need any hiking experience?
No, but all guests should be comfortable walking over uneven terrain. There is a 5-foot obstacle within the slot canyon that requires the ascent of a ladder to cross.
How long is the hike?
The walk through Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon is an easy, 1-mile round trip hike. It is just a short walk to the dinosaur tracks, where you will be walking up sandstone that is somewhat steep. However, this portion is taken at a leisurely and slow pace while you observe the tracks.
Are there restrooms at the canyon?
You will drive by a pit toilet on the way to the dinosaur track site. Let your guide know if you need to stop.
Are drones allowed on this tour?
Yes, drones are allowed on this tour, but Peek-A-Boo is not necessarily a good place to fly a drone. It is narrow and there may be other people in close proximity. When operating a drone on tours, please be mindful of other guests on the tour and other hikers who may be in the area.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, no cancellations can be made. Rescheduling requests are allowed up to 30 days prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 30 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
