Take a walk on the wild side and see a powerful bobcat up close! This one-of-a-kind encounter is a form of animal enrichment and is crucial for preventing boredom while stimulating the bobcat’s sense of curiosity.
This 30-minute encounter takes place at the Oglebay Good Zoo. For over 40 years, this incredible zoo has dedicated itself to conservation, education, and rehabilitation. It’s also the only institution in West Virginia accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
Your unforgettable day kicks off when you meet up with a fun and professional animal care team member. You’ll follow them behind the scenes to the bobcat habitat. Featuring long legs, mottled gray fur, and large yellow eyes, the bobcat is a natural born hunter. Observe this incredible animal up close and discover what makes these fierce felines unique! You’ll also learn about bobcat conservation and how the zoo is doing their part to ensure their survival.
You’ll feel like a real-life zookeeper as you engage with this impressive animal. Using specialized meat sticks, you’ll even get to help feed the zoo’s bobcat! For safety reasons, you will not enter the animal’s habitat. Instead, you’ll interact with the bobcat from a protected space.

No. For safety reasons, you will not be allowed to go inside the enclosure. Instead, you'll feed and interact with the bobcat from a protected area.

Yes, as long as you maintain a safe distance from the bobcat.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
