Beginning at the National Archives, you’ll stand before the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. As your expert guide shares fascinating insights, you’ll also explore remarkable documents like the Emancipation Proclamation and letters written by George Washington.
After a short break, you’ll continue to the National Portrait Gallery, where history hangs on the walls. See George Washington’s Lansdowne Portrait (the one that inspired the dollar bill) and explore powerful depictions of Civil War generals, suffragettes, and modern presidents like Barack Obama.
Throughout the day, your guide will bring history to life with engaging stories, insider insights, and little-known facts!
