Beginning at the National Archives, you’ll stand before the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. As your expert guide shares fascinating insights, you’ll also explore remarkable documents like the Emancipation Proclamation and letters written by George Washington.
Then, after a short break, you’ll continue to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, home to some of the nation’s most cherished treasures. See George Washington’s sword, the original Star-Spangled Banner, and Abraham Lincoln’s top hat. You’ll also see an impressive collection of First Ladies’ gowns, Thomas Jefferson’s desk, and of course, Dorothy’s iconic ruby slippers.
