Georgetown Food Tour in Washington, DC

Great experience and guide!

Georgetown food tour- our guide Wayne was very friendly & knowledgeable about the history of the city. Food was delicious, my husband and I had a great time. Excellent date !

We had a great time. Our guide, Robert, had a great personality and showed us a ton of different sights. The food choices were good and spread out so we weren’t stuffed. We would do another tour from this company.

Very fun afternoon! Robert was terrific tour guide, made us all feel very comfortable with each other, the walking, in restaurants. Even though I once lived in DC and daughter goes to school there now I learned a lot about history of Georgetown -- very fun. Food on tour excellent choices.

We would suggest one thing. We had no dietary restrictions but felt that two dishes were TOO salty: the mushroom taco and the spinach crepe. All other food tasted great, especially the Korean restaurant, our favorite. Our guide was very friendly and lots of fun. The desserts were yummy but there was no reserved seating which was awkward.

Our guide (Andrew) was wonderful! He was very animated and knowledgeable, and he made the experience fun for all of us.

The guide was friendly and interesting. The booking agent was too. The tour listed online was not available after I had paid for it, but she gave me other suggestions and worked it out quickly and very well.

Our tour guide was wonderful! She was kind, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We had a great time. The only issue I had was the many steps needed to confirm the date and time. I didn't like that I had to call in order to find out if there were openings for the time and date I wanted. It worked out, but it took more work than most booking companies require.

The guide Kayla was friendly and extremely informative. If I were to change anything it would be that the guests receive all individual portions at each stop.

Robert is a great guide. The history part of our tour was interesting and the food part was very good. I especially liked Il Canale and La Bodega. Both excellent.

Very nice tour. Robert was our guide. Lots of walking but we don't mind that at all. I thought the food could have been more abundant in the restaurants. The service was quick when we went into the 4 restaurants and the tables were set already for our tour group. We did not feel rushed. If something was on the planned tasting menu, that didn't suit someone in our group, Robert was quick to find an alternative.

The food tour of Georgetown far exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, Sandy, was awesome. We had a 2-year old child with us, and Sandy went out of his way to make sure that the restaurants had appropriate space for us, and arranged for high chairs etc where possible. He even offered to help my wife carry our stroller at one point, which was way above and beyond the call of duty. It was really great, and helped a lot, because we knew that this might not be the best activity for a two-year old child, but could not find a babysitter. Sandy was incredibly friendly, and professional, and did a great job of explaining the various sites around the neighborhood. We live very close to the tour area, but had never been to two of the restaurants on our tour, and they both turned out to be great (Neyla and Paolo's), and we will definitely return. The third restaurant - J Paul's, was probably our least favorite in terms of food, because they really did not provide enough for the size of our party. The charcuterie and cheese board with olives and bread was only sufficient for a party half our size. There were a number of items on the board that we did not get to try because there simply was not enough to go around. The other restaurant that provided a family style service, Neyla, did a much better job of making sure that there was enough for everyone to try. As you can see from our rating, this did not detract from the overall experience, but at least from my perspective, if you are thinking about switching the restaurant rotation, J Paul's might be a good choice to switch up, at least based on our experience there. Anyway, we can't say enough great things about Sandy, he was awesome, and really made everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

Our tour guide was very nice, knowledge, but there wasn’t much conversation in the beginning, it was just her talking about history, pop culture or politics, which wasn’t relevant or entertaining. It would have been a better experience if she spoke about the food and details behind the restaurants we visited. However, as time went on, our group got more chatty and we enjoyed the food at every spot.

The guide didn't get my food allergy (lactose intolerant) even though I entered it on the web site. Every stop (except the sweets) had cheese as a main part of the serving. The guide was gracious and did make an effort to change my serving; however, being the one person "different" at practically every stop was disconcerting.
