What happens on the day
From brutal executions and suicides to bloodthirsty murders, the streets of DC are no stranger to violence. Could this gruesome past be harnessing vengeful spirits?
Your spooky 90-minute tour begins when you meet up with your professional guide near the Octagon Museum. Feel a chill run down your spine as your guide brings to life numerous ghost stories. You’ll pass several haunted locations before making your way to the Hay-Adams Hotel. Hear the tragic tale of Clover Adams who poisoned herself to death. Legend has it that her spirit still haunts these walls and is most active in December around the anniversary of her death.
Next, you’ll stroll through Lafayette Square. Now a beautiful park, this site was once a graveyard, a slave market, and an encampment for soldiers. With a history like that, it’s no wonder that this square is a paranormal hotspot. Numerous visitors have reported supernatural experiences here including spectral sightings, sobbing phantoms, and even one-legged ghosts!
