The most memorable experience with Little Washington Winery's owners, Carl and Donna, was the intimate Winemaker's Dinner where we spent hours chatting about wine and food, the quirkiness and beauty of Little Washington, and just life in general. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every wine tasting experience, especially the Triple Threat with cheese and chocolate, and have gained an incredible amount of knowledge on wine, charcuterie building and combining with various foods! Didn't know grapes actually do not go with wine! Our suite was lovely and so comfortable it was difficult to leave, especially with serene views of the mountains! The variety of wine is countrywide, many from female winemakers, from locals and made at Little Washington Winery. We bought a case with a variety, including their Meritage Masterpiece "George". The weekend getaway had plenty of wine tastings in a very welcoming home with plenty of areas to kick up the feet and relax. Carl's dinner recommendation to The Blue Door was also appreciated as we enjoyed the romantic outdoor dinner with beautiful flavorful entrees (especially the lamb chop!) and desserts! Thank you Carl and Donna for an amazing experience we hope to have again with you in the future!

What happens on the day
Take your wine appreciation to new heights with this 2-day retreat at Little Washington Winery!
Just an hour west of Washington DC, this charming winery is nestled on a stunning 55-acre farm, complete with lush vineyards and a gorgeous tasting room. You'll stay in a private room within a shared house and enjoy two days packed with wine education, tastings, and incredible food pairings:
Day 1
2 PM: Kick things off with a class diving into wine regions and/or food pairings
4 PM: Free time—nap, explore, or shop locally
6 PM: Participate in the fun "Guess the $100 Bordeaux" challenge for a chance to win a special surprise
7 PM: Savor a fabulous Winemaker’s Dinner featuring a curated meal paired with three wines
Day 2
7 AM: Enjoy complimentary coffee
8 AM: Purchase yourself breakfast from a top local bakery
11 AM: Indulge in a learning lunch, featuring wines paired with entrees, cheeses, desserts, and chocolates
3 – 5:30 PM: Wrap up with a visit to the urban Wine Loves Chocolate tasting room for your Choco-Vino Challenge final exam

If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
