Your 4.5-hour adventure kicks off with a convenient pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Kanab, UT. Your expert guide will welcome you aboard a climate-controlled 4x4 truck before heading out into the desert. After about 15 minutes of driving, you’ll leave the pavement behind and enjoy the thrill of driving through deep desert sands!
Following your wild ride, you’ll walk approximately 100 yards to the entrance of the Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon. Admire towering red walls as you hike approximately 1 mile through the canyon. Squeeze through narrow spaces, navigate obstacles, and watch as the sunlight illuminates the sculpted walls in a fire-like glow! Along the way, you’ll learn about the canyon’s geology and look for evidence of the Native Americans who once lived here.
Next, you’ll venture deeper into the desert to the breathtaking White Wave formation. You won’t believe your eyes as you walk along the wave’s swirling layers of sandstone.

Do I need any hiking experience?
No, but all guests should be comfortable walking over uneven terrain and hiking uphill in sand or on low angle rock slabs. There is a 5-foot obstacle within the slot canyon that requires the ascent of a ladder to cross.
How long is the hike?
The walk through Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon is an easy, 1-mile round trip hike. The hike to the White Wave is only 250 yards each way, but it’s up a steep, sandy trail. There is an optional hike around to the backside of the butte where you’ll see Anasazi petroglyphs. This hike is also short, but there is steep stone, deep sand and loose rocks to negotiate. It takes good balance and surefootedness.
Are there restrooms at the canyon?
No. There are no restrooms on this 4.5-hour tour.
Are drones allowed on this tour?
Yes, drones are allowed on this tour, but Peek-A-Boo is not necessarily a good place to fly a drone. It is narrow and there may be other people in close proximity. When operating a drone on tours, please be mindful of other guests on the tour and other hikers who may be in the area.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, no cancellations can be made. Rescheduling requests are allowed up to 30 days prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 30 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
