What happens on the day
Nestled in between bustling city streets, the Broadway Cemetery District consists of seven distinct cemeteries and is home to some of the region’s oldest graves. By day, countless mausoleums and 19th century headstones dot the green grass. But what happens when the sun goes down? Experience the paranormal like never before with this nighttime Haunted Galveston Cemetery Tour!
Your terrifying 90-minute tour will begin when you meet up with your professional guide along the iconic Broadway Avenue. Step inside the Old City Cemetery and feel a chill run down your spine as you learn about the burial ground’s eerie infrastructure. Just how many bodies could be buried beneath your feet?
Follow your guide to the final resting place of the infamous Elize Roemer Alberti. Known as the ‘demented mother’, Alberti poisoned and killed her four children in 1894. Today, all five of them share the same burial plot. Legend has it that their spirits still wander these grounds from beyond the grave.
You’ll hear even more creepy stories as you wander through the Yellow Fever Yard. Learn about this devastating disease and walk amongst numerous unmarked graves. Along the way, stop and snap a few photos. You just never know who…or what…may be lurking in the dark.
