Learn to Fly a Plane Near Austin

This was a wonderful experience! Christian was great to work with and I didn’t expect to be able to fly the plane on my own! 10/10 would recommend!

The experience was amazing. We had Wyatt as our instructor and he was awesome! He answered to all our doubts and made us feel very comfortable. which was great since we were a bit nervous about it (first time). Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic time during my Discovery flight with Genesis Aero. Would definitely recommend as a fun experiential gift for someone or if you are interested in looking into getting your pilot's license. The staff, including my flight instructor Tiffany, were fantastic. 10/10 would do it again.

I gifted this experience to my husband for his birthday and I was able to schedule the flight on his actual birthday date which was very lucky! We had perfect weathertight, but were both a little nervous (I flew as a passenger), but the instructor, Rachel instantly put us at ease as she was cool, calm, and collected. I think he may have even been satisfied with just learning everything about the plane, but he actually flew us over Lake Travis and we caught some great views of Austin downtown close to sunset!! It was an absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime, memorable experience for both of us. I’d recommend this experience to anyone and everyone. We had a really great time and his birthday was perfect. Thank you to Sophia at Cloud Nine, and Rachel, his instructor, for making this birthday one neither of us will ever forget!

Exceptional and exciting day for me. My instructor, Tim Tudor, was top notch and made it interesting, instructional, and one of the most enjoyable times I have ever experienced.

So great!! The instructor Brandon really took the time to explain what we'd being doing. We did the walk around of the aircraft and he really got me involved in the process for a hands on experience. So happy I got to do this, and now I have to get my license! =)

This was one of the best gifts I've ever received. It makes me want to go out and buy a plane tomorrow so I can keep getting that amazing feeling day after day! My instructor was knowledgeable and friendly. He allowed me to do way more flying than I thought he would. It was fantastic! I highly recommend it.

This was something on my 'bucket list' of things to do. My husband surprised me a few days before my birthday. I had already scheduled the day off (I make it a practice to never work on my birthday) so when he told me what my gift was, I immediately jumped on Cloud 9 to schedule my lessons. I was afraid with such short notice, I wouldn't be able to fly on my birthday, but Ali was quick to reply and confirmed the date I requested. When I arrived at Genesis, everyone was very nice. Mick, my instructor was super nice and did a great job of walking me through the process. He was very calm which helped my nerves. I was excited and nervous at the same time, so it helped having someone so calm and professional with me. He was very patient and I learned a lot in such a short amount of time. My husband and 8 yr old son ended up flying with us so the whole family had a blast. It was the experience of a life time! I told my son, what other 8 yr can say he circled over our house and school over spring break? I would recommend Genesis to anyone wanting to seek flying lessons and ask for Mick!

Mic was a great instructor. I have some experience plying so he was able to adjust to my knowledge level and allow for me to do a more advanced flight instead of starting from square one. I really enjoyed this flight. Thank you !

It was a great experience and a lot of fun. I may actually start taking flying lessons at my advanced age. Cory Reardon was friendly, helpful, and most of all, PATIENT. I highly recommend this as a gift.

My actual experience was great. 5 stars! However, the planning and scheduling didn't go well at all. I would give this review 1 star for this...most people would have been pissed. Virgin Experience forgot to actually book my discovery flight. I was asked for several times and dates that would work for me. Virgin found the nearest training facility. They even called and spoke with their scheduler. BUT...they never booked the slot with them. They told me that they had...so I drove an hour showing up at the right time and day. I had to manually reschedule with them for later in the future... drive another hour home. Wait...then an hour back and an hour home again. ARGH!!! I did enjoy my discovery flight though!
