Learn to Fly a Plane Near Nashville

Joey was excellent!! He’s a great pilot and has a bright future with a great attitude. Shortly after taking off, he let me fly the plane for an hour and showed me many things that furthered my interest in aviation. Overall a great experience and fun discovery flight.

This was given to me by my wife for my birthday. I was a great experience. They allowed me to take two of my children, which they loved every minute of it. It was a little windy so I was skeptical about actually taking over the controls, but the instructor pilot gave me some confidence and away we went, lol. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is either interested in flying or just want a nice day or night date. I cant tell you enough about how much I loved this. Would highly recommend.

In the last several months, I have been watching videos online of back country flyers living in the western US (namely: Trent Palmer, Mike Patey and the other 'Flying Cowboys'). I passed up getting a pilot's license many years ago when I had the best opportunity (while in the Navy in Hawaii). I've always enjoyed flying in planes and in the summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to fly in a float plane across Prince William Sound in Alaska. Until this Cloud 9 Living experience, that flight had been the most enjoyable ever! Now that I've actually taken the controls and flown a plane, this experience tops the Alaska flight! Murphreesboro Aviation was busy during my visit and we got a bit of a later than planned start. After signing the requisite waiver form, it was out to the tarmac and preflight checks and briefing. Elizabeth was courteous, friendly, professional and very informative of everything she was doing. She asked if I wanted to fly over Nashville or another area in particular. I chose to stay in the Murphreesboro area so we flew over the area while she pointed out the landmarks of the city. After about 30 minutes in the air, Elizabeth asked if I wanted to take the controls, which of course I did following her instructions as to which way to turn. After about 15 minutes, she directed me to head toward the airport where she took the controls as we entered the flight pattern for returning to the runway. The time from engine startup to engine stop was a few minutes over an hour. I couldn't have been more pleased.

It was great. Our pilot did a great job of answering all our questions.

My girlfriend bought me this learn to fly experience because she knew as a younger man I had wanted to get my pilots license but at the time it was financially out of reach. So my dream of flying my own plane one day remained just that...a Dream. But unbeknownst to me that dream would come true and I would fly! No, I don’t still desire to get my pilots license however just to be able to fly one time, feel the plane beneath my feet with me in control (but closely observed by an experienced trained pilot) was a thrill I can’t describe. The pilot was very friendly, well knowledged, and highly experienced. He made me feel very comfortable and he truly enjoyed taking a novice like me up into the sky. He saw to it that I had the best experience possible. I thank Murfreesboro Aviation, my pilot and my girlfriend for making a long ago dream come true for me! I highly recommend!!!

Had a great time and the people were fantastic. I would do it again without any hesitation.

My wife booked the flying experience as a surprise for my birthday. I loved it!!! I have had a little flying experience in the past and the trainer, Caroline, was terrific in refreshing me . It was an excellent experience. I highly recommend it!

It was truly amazing to get to live out a dream

This was an amazing experience! The pilot (I was so nervous and excited I forgot his name) granted my wish which was to fly over my house! We took off and went straight to it and he took his time so I could video and get great pictures! It was a beautiful day so the remainder of the flight was fantastic. This was something I would have never thought to do for myself and such a great gift! I would highly recommend this for anyone that loves to fly!

Tanner at the flight school was great. It was a perfect experience, and I would do it again or recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic

I surprised my husband with an hour flight around downtown Nashville. We had a great time! Our pilot was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable, as he was very knowledgeable about everything. We would definitely do this again, and have already suggested for our friends to give it a try!

I just want to to say thank you for making my boyfriend's birthday that much better. We had a wonderful time. It was my first time ever being in a plane, and [the pilot] made me feel comfortable and explained everything to us that he was doing. This is a great place to experience flying. Thank you to our pilot (I cant remember his name, probably because I was terrified at first when he told us) but he was great. Thank you again to the aviation school for making this birthday a great one.

I made it to the airfield earlier than I expected and met Tanner, who was an awesome pilot. He went over everything with me about the plane on the ground, and then asked if I was ready to go. I said I am ready, and we were off. Once in the air, he let me control the plane for the majority of the hour-long flight and even showed me a couple of neat things the plane could do. He was friendly, with light humor that made the entire experience a complete enjoyment. I would highly recommend going up with him any time, and I hope to do something like this again soon, or even more flying beyond the experience. It made for one of the best times I have had in a very long time for sure!

Really, really happy with the flying experience. Jordan from the aviation school did a great job. Initially I thought I would spend most of my time on the ground. But Jordan utilized most of the time to teach me flying and exploring the sky. I highly recommend the experience.

Everything about the experience was perfect. There were no hiccups, and the actual flight was incredible. Anthony was very insightful and had a great attitude for flying. He made the experience a ton of fun, and I would definitely recommend doing the Learn to Fly program to anyone.

My flight instructor was great. This was a dream come true for me to take over the controls of an airplane, and I am now going forward with getting my private pilot's license.

Communication was excellent in booking the event .When I arrived my instructor (Herbert Gonzalez) was waiting on me. Once we were introduced, we hit it off well and he enthusiastically shared the pre-flight experience. Once completed, we had an excellent flight. Questions were answered with great knowledge and courtesy, and I could not have had a better time. I highly recommend this experience to anyone. Special thanks to my instructor and guide Herbert for such a great experience .

This flying experience went far beyond my expectations. Jacob (pilot) is very easy going and knows his stuff. I was able to taxi, take off, and land the plane! This was something I've wanted to do all my life. If I live to be 200, I will never forget this. Jacob is a great guy and made every bit of my flight awesome! Thank you all so much. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do something different.

The experience was amazing.. The pilot was friendly and has lot of Patience..Me & my wife enjoyed it to the most.

Excellent, we were a little late and he was patient. You don't learn to fly anything. He didn't say a word the entire time.... and the ride was only 35 min TOPS. Soooo I would suggest more specific detail on activity.

The flight experience was fun! but I definitely wish I'd booked directly with the company rather than through Virgin. Working through Virgin was really bad, and I NEVER say things like this. But it really was bad, and I'm sorry for saying it. But if you can bypass booking through virgin, I'd recommend it. But again, the flight experience itself was fun.
