What happens on the day
Get ready to discover your new favorite watersport as you paddleboard across Memphis’ stunning Hyde Lake!
Your 90-minute private lesson will begin with a brief safety discussion and overview of the day’s schedule. Starting on land, your expert instructor will help familiarize you with your board and show you its unique features. You’ll also practice different techniques and go over the proper paddling stance. Then, it’s time to head to the water!
Float out into Hyde Lake and get ready to stand up on your paddleboard for the first time. Your instructor will coach you on any changes you need to make and before you know it, you’ll be comfortably gliding across the lake’s calm waters. If you fall off your board, don’t worry! Your guide will show you how to get back up in a flash. Besides, the water is a great place to cool off!
Show off your newly acquired skills and use the last 30 minutes of your class to paddle around the lake at your own pace.

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

FAQs
Do I need stand-up paddleboarding experience?
No! This lesson is perfect for beginners. However, participants should know how to swim.
What should I bring?
Bring your own paddle, paddleboard, and personal flotation device. If you do not have these items, they can be easily rented. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel, water, and fast drying clothing.
What happens if I fall of my board?
You'll be surprised at how easy it is to balance on your paddleboard and the chances of you falling off is pretty slim. However, if you do fall in, don't worry! You'll be instantly cheered up by your instructor who will help you get back onto your board. Besides, the water is a great place to cool off!
Is there free parking?
Yes! There is plenty of parking near the launch site.
What can I expect during this class?
You can expect to have a great time with friendly people and knowledgeable instructors. The goal is to have an amazing time while learning how to paddleboard.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
