What happens on the day
The Carolina’s are known for their uninhabited barrier islands, and one in particular stands out with its historic lighthouse. Climb aboard a Carolina Skiff Bay Boat and cruise along with your captain for a truly unique Lowcountry experience.
This 2.5-hour tour takes you through pristine tidal creeks and coastal waterways out to Morris Island and its iconic lighthouse that stands as a shining beacon. Along the way, your captain will point out native wildlife and discuss the island’s history as well as the area’s diverse ecosystems.
The journey out to the island covers 6 miles and is basically a mini eco-tour. Keep your eyes peeled for wild Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, wading birds, oyster flats, and sea turtles.
On the island, you’ll have about 45 minutes to explore. Stroll down the natural beach in search of the perfect seashells to add to your collection. Bring out your camera and capture close-up photos of the Morris Island Lighthouse that will be sure to light up your social media feed.
