What happens on the day
Charleston, South Carolina was founded in 1670, and walking around the French Quarter feels like you’re stepping back in time. The city’s preservation society, hard at work since 1973, has gone to great lengths to keep the charm of Charleston intact, and the historic French Quarter is a beautiful result of their efforts.
But there’s more to Charleston’s most remarkable neighborhood than harbor views, colorful houses, historic churches and stunning architecture – all of which you’ll visit on your tour, of course. But this part of town also boasts award-winning restaurants that are serving up the food and drinks this city is famous for.
On this approximately 3-hour tour, your passionate local guide will lead you through an exquisite tasting of Lowcountry specialties with recipes that have been handed down through multiple generations. You’ll dine on dishes like She-crab soup (a coastal South Carolina staple), a homemade sweet potato biscuit sandwich, local smokehouse meats and refreshing desserts like a customized ice cream bar.
Wash it all down with signature drinks that have been specially crafted to accompany your menu. Enjoy everything from local beers and a taste bud-tingling Bloody Mary to a Sweet Tea Mojito where the sweet tea vodka is made just a few miles away.

The experience itself was awsome We had the best tour guide and learned so much from her. unfortunately,trying to book it was another thing. It shouldnt beome a frustrating thingtrying to book a tour! We had so much funand made new friends will I use Virgin again remains to be see
