We thought this would be a rather generic and brief intro to scuba diving. We were pleasantly surprised that we had plenty if time in the pool to get a good trial and had plenty of time to really get comfortable with it. We were in the pool for 2 hours and really enjoyed it! Tim was our instructor and he was competent, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about diving and teaching it. The booking was easy and quick. We are definitely going back for more and will offer the experience to friends too. This was a great gift! Thanks to my brothers!
What's Included

What happens on the day
This course is a perfect introduction to the world of scuba diving!
Learning how to scuba dive is a ticket to a lifetime of underwater adventure and this experience is a perfect introduction to the sport. You'll get expert instruction on safety and underwater mobility techniques, then you'll learn how to breathe underwater and achieve weightlessness while getting used to the equipment.
The 3-hour course takes place in a swimming pool under controlled conditions - and while it might seem a long way from diving in a tropical ocean, it's the perfect way to get a basic grounding in diving and find out whether you like it. It's also ideal for anyone considering taking a PADI Open Water Diving Course!

Can anyone participate?
Participants must be at least 10 years old. No previous experience is necessary.

Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.

Overall it was a good experience. There were some issues worth noting. The proper equipment wasn't available for our reservation. Wrong sized vests and missing back up regulator. So we made do with what equipment was provided. Annoying but it was fine. The pool was very cold and our lips were blue after being in the water for a couple of hours. Had I known that I would have inquired about renting wetsuits. That was a drag and cut our swim time because we were all freezing. Again annoyed but ok. What really bothered me was that one of our instructors was not kind and was very impatient with the entire class. It definitely made it less enjoyable because the three of us were afraid to ask each other for help with the equipment set up. Repeatedly told to " talk less and watch more ". My kids were afraid to ask me anything. I spoke to another parent that day who said that they had been before with a better teacher. It was a shame really. We all were there to have fun and it brought down the mood. There are very smart people who just aren't good teachers.
