This was an awesome experience. Jim is friendly and knowledgeable. His teaching style is quite good and we learned as we were making our creations. I think it is important to manage your expectations with what you will leave the glass studio with in your hands. This is not a class where you will create a set of wine glasses with a matching vase! The class is well-paced and quite informative. We left with about six hand crafted glass items that we made with our own hands. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Thanks Jim!!

What happens on the day
Channel your creativity using glass as your medium with a Romantic Glass Working Class for 2 in Philadelphia!
This 2-hour private session is lead by self-taught, experienced glass blower, Jim Loewer. His glass blowing techniques are derived from contemporary organic forms of glass blowing influenced by Japanese craft and the American studio glass movement.
You'll learn about the history of the art, safety, how to handle glass properly, cold working, casting and more during the private lesson. Create your own one-of-a-kind piece that you'll be able to take home in the days following.

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, rescheduling is allowed up to 7 days prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 7 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.

What an amazing experience! Jim is such a patient and relaxed teacher and helps make you feel confident about your ability to create unique pieces even if it’s your very first time! His demonstration and then follow up by instructing you along the way is the perfect mix of learning and doing. We were so impressed with how hands on you get to be right away and were shocked we got to walk away with SIX pieces of art - two solid pendants and four blown ornaments! Jim even recommended a great restaurant to check out for dinner after - it was a perfect evening. Truly blown away by the experience and would recommend to anyone!
