What happens on the day
Oregon’s forests are calling, and you must go! During this unforgettable adventure, you’ll climb up more than 20 stories into some of the state’s tallest and largest trees.
Your epic day begins at the Howard Creek Trailhead where you’ll meet your guide, an expert tree climber with years of experience. Before heading into the woods, you’ll learn the basics of climbing and rappelling on a small practice tree. With the help of your guide, you’ll also be equipped with top-of-the-line gear including a harness, helmet, and ropes.
Once everyone is feeling comfortable, it’s time to climb a true giant! Enjoy a short, 5 to 10 minute, walk to the base of a massive, 300-foot-tall Coastal Douglas Fir Tree. This incredible tree is one of the tallest in Silver Falls State Park – you won’t believe your eyes as you stare up at its massive trunk and branches!
Feel a wave of excitement as you plant your feet and begin to climb. Along the way, your guide will share amazing facts about the park’s unique ecology, plants, and animals. Once you’ve safely reached the canopy, you’ll be surrounded by jaw-dropping views of the park and beyond.

How many trees will we climb?
Depending on the group and the climbers' ability, you will ascend one to three trees.
What should I bring?
We recommend you bring a reusable water bottle, and snacks to enjoy at the top of the canopy and during the climb. Binoculars, GoPros, cameras and phones can also be used once in a secure location
Is tree climbing safe?
Tree climbing has intrinsic risk factors, like any recreational activity, but it also offers great opportunity. Safety is the provider's number one priority. Your experience provider outfits climbers with mandatory helmets, harnesses, safety glasses, foot loops and ascenders, all of which meet international climbing standards.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, maintenance issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
