What happens on the day
Slip into the pilot’s seat of a historic biplane!
Your experience kicks off at Middletown Regional Airport, conveniently located near both Cincinnati and Dayton. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy an introduction to the iconic Boeing-Stearman N2S-1. Widely used in the 1940s, this legendary biplane served as the aircraft for many WWII Aviation Cadets. With your certified instructor leading the way, you’ll enjoy an overview of the plane, its cockpit, and controls.
Then, it’s time to take off. Feel the thrill as you speed down the runway and lift into the sky above Middletown. The best part? You’ll take the controls mid-flight, experiencing the rush of open-air flying as the wind races past.
After approximately 30 minutes of flight, your instructor will perform a safe landing on a grass airstrip. For the grand finale, you can explore the hangar’s fascinating military history and aviation museum, featuring over 2200 artifacts!
