Drive a NASCAR - Charlotte Motor Speedway

Was a great experience a real adrenaline rush. Was a birthday gift from my son and family that I finally got to use. Would love to do again. My son drove also so great day for both of us.

it was a great day, everyone was great this was an experience of a life time for me. the staff was pleasant and vary professional. I would do this again.

My experience happened at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on June 3rd. Parking was at a premium, but we found a spot in an adjacent lot. Little confusing as to where to go to sign in, but found the place after asking questions of a worker. Confusion about what I had signed up at the sign up booth. I opted for the "better" package. Thank goodness I had the information on my cell phone. There was limited seating, but in the sun. Would recommend some sun cover for the spectators as the day was very hot. Our pre-instruction was provided by Clint. He was a great instructor and deserves kudos. The ride along was quite exciting. The NASCAR driver was experienced and the car appeared to have no RPM limiter so the speed was pretty much all out, approaching 170+ MPH. I was looking forward to my single drive in a NASCAR for the next portion of my experience. I have to say, the toughest part of the experience is getting in and out of the race car through the window. I appreciated more the experience as to what actual race drivers have to go through. My single driving experience was OK. I was assigned a NASCAR with a Lowes's advertisement on the side. The non-power steering and brakes plus the direct-connect clutch pedal brought back memories of my first vehicle I owned. The remote drive instructor was excellent and I had no problem with his promptings. I was amazed that I could only do the first lap with no more than 4000 RPM, with increasing boosts to RPM by increments of 200 RPM. My final lap was at 5000 RPM. There is an RPM limiter, so I did the lap at 5000 RPM which gave me a high speed of 133.1 MPH. I guess the higher speed is when the person signs up for more time and is allowed higher RPM. The race car handled very well, but the acceleration appeared curtailed. I suspect this is for the safety of the experience. Loved the experience and would recommend it to anyone who wants this as a check off on their bucket list. I appreciate the work of the pit crews and the drivers much more after my experience. Great thanks to my kids for such a gift for my 70th birthday. I have been a home mechanic for a long time and always have the "need for speed."

I booked the NASCAR Driving Experience, and it was incredible. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Driving the race car was an amazing adrenaline rush. I will very likely do it again.

The NASCAR experience was too expensive for the time actually on the track. The actual experience did not go as planned. We paid for two 8-minute sessions on the track and the staff made an error and called my husband off the track 5 minutes into the first session. There was a 15- 20 minute delay getting back on the track, waiting in a hot (temperature) car. We got the time we paid for, but it was not as much fun for $900.00 as it should have been with the error.

I did NASCAR & it we great. Did a pre drive which showed me real speed.

My experience with cloud 9 was excellent. The staff was always helpful and assisted me in any way possible. The Racing Experience was a blast. I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes driving fast. Can't wait to book my next experience. Sincerely, Neel Downey Lewisville, NC

Had a great time instructors were friendly along with the staff. I had the honor of getting the 48 car which was great just wished that the other cars would have sported a nascar or nationwide team and sponsor decal. I would do it again if I received another deal on it and would reccomend other to do the experince.

The experience was fun, but the instructor was almost impossible to hear or understand and there were several other cars on the track at the same time so I was forced to go slower than I wanted to.
