86th Floor Sunset Admission to the Empire State Building with Dinner at State Grill and Bar for 2

The experience was amazing, beautiful views and lovely dinner and staff. However the communication with this experience was below average… we were sent a confirmation which we thought was tickets but no tickets were sent through after so were stopped at the gate on arrival. Luckily the staff were accommodating and very understanding. I wouldn’t recommend Virgin experiences as we are also still waiting for confirmation from other experiences.

The sunset experience was absolutely amazing, could not of wished for a better day, watching the sunset 86 floors up OMG, stunning. However if it hadn't of been for Cynthia and her CS Manager we would not of been on the tour. Even though we gave them the booking form, email confirmation, they had no reference of our booking. All sorted in the end.

The experience was good. But it would be good if it can explain what is included as part of the dinner that way you know what to expected. Also dinner timing and observatory deck timing should be apart. We had both(dinner and museum) at 7 pm .

There were several problems with virgin experiences when it came to booking the experience. The instructions to use the experience were lacking at best and we ran into issues figuring out how to use the confirmation code once we got to the Empire State Building. The staff at the Empire State were lovely but it’s good to keep in mind this wasn’t an “express” ticket so there is always the possibility of a very long wait even though you have a booked time. Due to that I recommend booking your dinner for BEFORE going up. The meal and staff at the State Grill were nice but most items on the prefix menus required additional money so be prepared to still have to pay something out of pocket. Even the hamburger was $4 extra. Overall we wouldn’t do it again.

Presented paper work to a gentleman in Empire State Building, he was very rude and said we needed tickets and would not help us, a lovely women helped us in the end and printed all the tickets off for us as said it’s common with virgin experiences that we just get booking confirmation and not the actually tickets. Empire State Building was amazing! Absolutly amazing experience even upgraded to go up to the 102nd floor!. The meal however at the state bar and grill was very salty, they tried to make us pay for a full meal after presenting our tickets explained we had the tickets and still had to pay so much towards the meal as they had not given us the correct menu, tried to make us pay for wine we hadn’t had.

Very disorganized. Was not clear that the tour was first and that dinner was not at the top of the building. Tickets came separately from confirmation email, which had the times. Package was 250.00 but we ended up paying an additional 70.00 for dinner because only 2 items were part of the price fixed. Oh, and it took 1 month to get confirmation on this experience and that was only bc we called. Overall not worth it.
