What happens on the day
Wander the streets of Greenwich Village as you visit 10 iconic hotspots where famous poets and musicians made their mark on the city. All you have to do is download the app, and your phone becomes a portal to music history!
Step back into the late 60s and take on the role of a budding young music journalist who has just landed a job at a brand-new magazine called Rolling Stone. Itching to break your first big story, you can’t believe your luck when your editor sends you to interview Bob Dylan.
You arrive at The White Horse Tavern on Hudson Street, but Dylan, who is notoriously unreliable, doesn’t show. You’ll have to solve a series of clues to track him down. Make your way through the streets of The Village, cracking riddles and discovering a hotbed of musical history.
See where Dylan Thomas had his last drink and where Barbara Streisand made her debut. Stroll through Washington Square Park, the epicenter of the hippie movement and the stage of the Beatnik Riot. Jam out to the musical aura that radiates from Electric Lady Circus, Jimi Hendrix’s recording studio. And end up at The Bitter End, a venue that claims to be New York City’s oldest rock and roll club.
