Dinner Cruise in New York City

Excellent way to introduce people to skyline of New York City. Food was nicely prepared and plentiful. Only complaint is that there are three complimentary drinks: coffee, hot tea and ice tea. We asked for the complimentary ice tea but were told there wasn't any, only hot coffee and hot tea. To our waiter's credit, he gave my husband free soda in lieu of the ice tea. Everyone was very friendly, and the restrooms were clean! DJ Music was fun, and we enjoyed the fact that it was a mixed crowd, i.e., all races and ages. Highly recommend, especially for first time visitors to New York.

Cruise was beautiful loved it ! Only thing was drinks were somewhat weak but otherwise loved it.

Spirit Cruises was such a pleasant surprise. We boarded the ship and we were greeted promptly and politely. We sat down and met a lovely couple next to us from Scotland. As it turned out, there were many different ethnicities from around the world celebrating either a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, engagement or just a fun night out like my boyfriend and myself. The only thing that was not so great was the fact that it was obvious we were receiving leftover Thanksgiving food from Thursday. I happened to love turkey and stuffing so I didn't mind, however I kind of expected for the price to have more desserts.They only served one slice of pumpkin pie and apple crisp that was too sour to eat. For the price we should get a Viennese hour! ALL in all, Cloud 9 Living was excellent at the coordination, and accommodating as my boyfriend had gotten sick and we had to reschedule from November 14th to the 28th. Spirit cruise had a courteous, polite, diligent staff. One tip, you don't have to dress to the nines if you don't want to. Most people were nicely dressed however, it doesn't have to be like a ball gown and suit affair or anything remotely like that. If you want to dress up because it's your special night, by all means do so. The mix was very eclectic and diversified, which added excitement of the cruise. Everyone was enjoyable. My husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary, so we chose the dinner cruise. It was really good -- the food was good and dessert was too. Our host was lively and fun. I would definitely do this again.

The cruise ship was 100% FANTASTIC... NOT ONE BAD THING HAPPEN!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner cruise in "The Spririt of New York". The food was very good, the service was wonderful, and the music was at a level that allowed us to eat and talk at the same time. The DJ was also very good, and he helped create a wonderful atmosphere. It helped that he night was beautiful. All in all a great experience that I highly recommend!

Our waiter Leo was tremendous! He was fun and attentive. My husband and I also enjoyed the idea that the crew participated in the entertainment. We had a wonderful time and will do it again!

I had a lovely evening. It is something I would love to do again!

I think our waitress was over booked and had too many tables to give her best service. She was gone from view for long periods of time. The food was okay, nothing special. Otherwise and over all the experience was very good.

My fiance and I took the NYC dinner cruise and we could not have had a better experience. We want to do it again and bring out friends. The staff was so full of life and their attitude was so positive that it was contagious and you had no choice but to get up and have a good time!

The best evening we have had in NYC ever. The whole experience was a 10. From everyone to who took the booking to who issued our tickets to chefs and crew. Amazing. Will do it again and we live in the area so we have done a lot and this has out done them all.

Everyone encountered on the trip were extremely courteous, always smiling, always available to meet our every need. The loudness of the music was perfect - definitely not deafening or uncomfortable and the DJ and staff entertainers were extremely professional. The dining area was roomy and pleasant. The bathrooms were spacious and spotless - always important when you have no other choice. My favorite place in the NY area is wherever I can see the Statue of Liberty. That the ship stayed for awhile at that location only added a deep emotional appreciation for the entire evening. Me and my wife had a great time on our New York City dinner cruise the weather was great and we met some very nice people.

It was a pleasant cruise. Thought maybe they could have told you about some of the sites especially since there were people on board who had not been to NYC. Staff was pleasant and meal was satisfactory.

Great weather, great food, waitstaff was excellent and very friendly. We can't think of anything we could recommend as an improvement.

We received the dinner cruise as a gift. It was a most enjoyable experience. The staff, entertainment and food were great. Could not have asked for a more thoughtful gift.

This was one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. My wife and I enjoyed the dinner and the overall cruise. We kept going outside to view the sights. The weather was beautiful and the wait staff made us feel right at home as soon as we boarded the ship. I look forward to doing this again in the future.

My only problem was with the ticket agent at Spirit Boat at check in. I presented the card from Cloud Nine and she started to give me a problem about doing this through a third party. She claimed that I was not in the system. After about 10 minutes she looked through her tickets and I was there.

The dinner cruise was fantastic! It was a beautiful night, the food was excellent and We had a phenomenal time. I must say the only thing we were unhappy about was our server. She appeared to be distracted and busy. We were there to celebrate my birthday. She did not even ask if we were celebrating anything. If we needed to ask her anything, we felt as if we were bothering her. She did not smile at us at all.

It was FANTASTIC! We went to celebrate our 1st Anniversary and it was sooo romantic! Couldn't ask for more. The food was delicious and the service outstanding!!

We requested a window seat and were lucky enough to get one. The view of the city, the statue and the bridges is breathtaking.

It was a good experience.Music was great. View was awesome. Only one thing, when I got up to get food. A lot of stuff ran out.

I paid extra for platinum booking. Our table was almost on top of another couple's, and we were not seated next to a window. We therefore decided to relocate upstairs. However our waiter told us he would still wait on us. This didn't happen. We missed out on our arrival champagne and shrimp cocktail. We were not happy at all for this, as it was part of the package we paid for!

We had a party of two dinner cruise experience. Overall, we had a pleasant experience: registration went smoothly, weather was perfect to enjoy beautiful views outside, food was delicious. The only comment we have for the crew is to improve their organizing of the food bar; by the time our table was called to get our food, most of the food was gone and cooks did not replenish trays with the next load. So, we ended up with the available leftovers. It was kind of a disappointment.

We had fun evening and it was plenty of time to enjoy the boat and the scenery. I wish we would've known the company we were going with ahead of time so we could be sure that the day of the week would work for us.

We received a gift certificate for our anniversary. It was a very pleasant experience and the crew was great!

I had requested and was assurered by Cloud None and Spirit Cruise Lines that I would be seated with Ricky and kathy LaBare. When we arrived at the ship our setting was not arranged as requested. Thanks Goodness for the people on the ship they took care of my wife and our friends. the food was just OK and for the price was not spectactular or what I would call good. The ship was nice and the cruise was fine.

The cruise part was great but the food should have been better for the price they are charging. Not enough options at the buffet and what was offered was mediocre at best.

Parking was quite easy, as was ticket pick-up and boarding. I paid extra for the premium package, which included open bar. However, 3 of the 5 mixed drinks on the menu weren't available for some reason. Drink service was very slow. At one point I went to the bar myself to see what was taking so long. Food was a buffet and was o.k. at best. Music selection wasn't exciting enough get many people on the dance floor. It seemed like the DJ didn't really put much effort into getting people excited. He must do so many cruises that he has become bored with the whole thing. The view of Manhattan from the top of the boat was amazing and almost made up for the the cruises shortcomings. Overall, a good time but not worth the money I paid. C+

Was very excited to celebrate our anniversary with this event. Experience was ok. Service could have been a lot better due to upgrading to first class. For the extra fees to upgrade I was expecting prompter service and amenities. The music and dancing was eventful. The whole experience was not worth the money. The buffet was average. For the price people pay the food selection should have been of higher quality.

Need to improve boarding and disembarking from the vessel. Long lines, delays, crowds make it a dangerous and poor experience.

The cruise was really cheesy and th food was very ordinary. The service was just great but we were seated in a horrible spot next to the service workers. I would only recommend this for summer cruising. Being stuck on that boat with the clouded over windows was not all that pleasant. Wine choices were limited and expensive. Overall it was just ok but I felt a bit cheated with the experience and the cost of it.

This was not at the level of elegance portrayed on Cloud 9's website or even Entertainment (Spirit) Cruises' website. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom deordorizers could be smelled throughout the vessel. The food was at a level expected at a cheap wedding and the Music was from the 80's and 90's - Macarana, Electric Slide? Then the crew sings! - but not even at a Disney reject level. It was painful. The cruise around the city was really beautiful....until several guys smoked their cigars, then even while on the open-aire-deck on a moving vessel it was second-hand smoke all the way. I would not recommend this trip to anyone other than tourists with low to moderate expections....certainly not at what I thought Cloud 9-level to be.

Felt like an over-priced, cheap wedding.

The vessel is pretty much rundown and desperately needs to be completely re-decorated. and then there was the food..... What can I say to accurately describe the food and the buffet arrangements to do them justice???? I can only suggest that you, who sell these dinners, participate in one of these event, incognito, so as to experience this thing the way we, your customers, have experienced it. Beyond that I don't know how to describe the ice-cold plates on which we were supposed to put the barely luke-warm food. By the time one gets to the table, everything is cold. As for the quality.... diner food would have been a huge improvement over the stuff we were offered. Needless to say, we barely touched any of that stuff. As for the rest of the 2 and a half hours.... we found our selves suffering from incredibly high volume speakers, blasting music and announcements by the DJ. We had hoped to escape all that incredible noise but were prevented from going out on the deck because of the rainy weather. In short, the evening was a total disaster. We ask that you not try to justify any of this nor do we wish to receive any e-mail messages from you, trying to explain and/or sell us other "gifts". Below is how you describe this particular event.... Whoever wrote this...... "Quite simply, this New York dinner cruise is the perfect night out. A magical setting enhanced by dazzling city sights and harbor lights. Freshly prepared cuisine, live music and dancing under a canopy of stars. Take in the... "

I booked two experiences on the same day for two couples. When we arrived, we were told that we were being seated at two different tables even though there was room for our guests at our table. The waiter eventually told us that we could all sit together to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday. The air conditioning in the cabin broke during dinner. The bathroom facilities were disgusting. Other than that the view was beautiful and the upstairs crew were very nice.
