Had such a great time! We had a group of 11 from Long Island celebrating my wife’s birthday. Our tour guide, Amanda, did such a great job leading us through 6 restaurants within Greenwich Village and filling us in on all the backstories and origins of each of them. Food was delicious and everyone was stuffed by the end of the tour. Highly recommend if you’re looking to explore part of the city.

What happens on the day
Greenwich Village has a history dating back hundreds of years, starting as a Native American fishing hole and trading post. As the Dutch, English and other immigrants settled into the area, they brought their food traditions and Old World recipes that New Yorkers still revere today.
On this approximately 3-hour walking food tour, you will eat your way through the iconic and famously delicious Greenwich Village, uncovering the origins of some of New York's quintessential foods and tasting how they have evolved into the flavorful meals on the plate before you. Enjoy bites like a modern twist on the classic New York bagel, the iconic Reuben sandwich and, of course, a slice of hot and cheesy New York-style pizza.
The Village is one of the oldest areas in the city, and in between bites your experienced local guide will point out the vestiges of original Dutch settlements and early British influences that are still visible today. What can I expect on the tour?

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
There is a significant amount of walking, which should be considered for anyone with mobility issues. One of the stops has a couple of steps at the entrance, but all other stops are fully accessible.
