Right in the heart of Manhattan, you’ll find a tranquil mixture of forests, lakes, art and architecture in the iconic Central Park. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend the entire day exploring the park on two wheels with this fun and unique bike rental and gourmet picnic combination!
Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or a casual bike rider, Central Park’s endless trails cover 843 gorgeous acres, providing an easy ride through a peaceful oasis right in the middle of one of the largest cities in the world. A color-coded, illustrated map will lead you to famous sites like the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace, Strawberry Fields, the Literary Walk and so much more.
In addition to the map, you’ll get everything you need to explore the park on your own – a Cannondale bike, basket and lock. Included is a delicious gourmet picnic lunch.

Is this experience appropriate for children?
Absolutely! Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
Are there bike attachments for kids?
Baby seats, tag-a-long attachments, double trailers and regular kids’ bikes are available for an additional cost. Please let Virgin Experience Gifts know if you will need attachments at the time of booking.
Can we ride outside of Central Park?
Yes! In addition to the bike paths in Central Park, you can also bike around the Hudson River bike path or across the Brooklyn Bridge as other bike path options.
What about dietary restrictions?
There are vegetarian and vegan options for the boxed picnic lunches. Please let Virgin Experience Gifts know of any special dietary needs at the time of booking to see if accommodations can be made.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, all bookings are final. No cancellations or rescheduling requests will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
Customer Reviews
Great day, comfortable bikes and the picnic lunch was lovely, cute presentation, plenty to eat and very tasty. Only downside (and not the fault of the experience provider) was the huge lack of bike racks in Central Park - made it very difficult to stop, lock up the bikes and explore/stroll in the park itself where riding bikes is understandably not allowed.
