Best of Brooklyn Food Tour

This tour was a highlight of our trip to New York. Rick was a fabulous guide being knowledgeable, friendly and witty. We had only expected to learn about the culinary variety of Brooklyn, but came away having learned so much of the city's history, culture and social development. The food was great but that was only a part of the experience, which left us satiated but hungry for more!

There were so many choices, but we narrowed it down to visit Brooklyn in 4-5 hours with tasting food. It was pricey but worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and we loved his choices of food. Actually later we went to Little Italy [on our own] to try some food like pizza, cannoli and they were not the same. Apart from food, they notified and reminded me of the tour which is nice, and they were accurate in their schedule. Me and my husband were so happy with the tour. People on our tour were friendly too, which was nice .

We thought the experience and guide was interesting, entertaining and fun. We would recommend it to anyone interested.

Rick was our tour guide. He was very pleasant and professional. He had a good knowledge of the things we were seeing and was entertaining. He maintained good control of the large group and kept us on track without being overly controlling. I thought this was a good tour, although I don't know that it is a good "foodie" tour. It felt like more of a Brooklyn tour that you happen to eat on. The bus was very nice, and the driver did a great job as well. I would also suggest that the instructions to "print out the email confirmation" be removed, as that did not seem to be needed. Each email confirmation is three pages, and we had 6 in our party. That's a lot of needless paper being used. No one in the tour was asked to turn these in.

My son bought me this tour for my birthday, and I didn't know what to expect. Being from LI, I wasn't over-joyed to travel to the city for the tour. It turned out to be the best experience we ever had! Laurie was an awesome guide and knew more about Brooklyn than a native New Yorker. Joseph maneuvered the crowded streets with ease, and we were all very comfortable. I wish you had more city tours. Thank you for providing a memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour, even if you are a local!

Rick was an excellent guide -- knowledgeable and personable. He made sure everyone was enjoying the tour and that we all interacted with each other. Food was OK. We started with a delicious rugelach and followed that with very good Polish food. The remainder of the food was adequate, but not nearly as good as the first two stops. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, which really enhanced the tour since we were able to enjoy sitting in Sunset Park, admiring the view and doing the same in Brooklyn Heights.

Great tour with so many varied ethnic areas and food. We had a great time, learned a lot, and ate a lot! Perfect way to see the large area of Brooklyn and learn about it.

Loved this tour. Our guide (Lori) was great and very knowledgeable. Jimmy (the driver) was great. A nice variety of food was on the tour.

It was a great day in New York and Laurie was fun and knowledgeable. It was just the right amount of time to get a good variety of tastes in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. The day was so nice we walked back across the Brooklyn Bridge. Thanks for a great excursion.

Cloud 9 - The staff were all great - had two or three different people helping me, and one was better than the next. Very accommodating when I needed to change tours and extend times - there was no extra charge - no complaining......everyone was eager to assist! Our tour guide Isaac and driver, James were both exceptional! Both were very professional, yet very personal- Isaac was full of little tid-bits of information that even surprised the New Yorkers! The tour was a gift - and, one of the best gifts that I ever received! I would highly recommend Cloud 9, New York Fun Tours and tour tour guide/driver. The entire package gets an A+ in my book! As a New Yorker, I was thrilled to see and learn about parts of the City and Brooklyn that were unknown to me. The tour guide, Issac, was very friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and a delight. It was a wonderful experience, and I am looking forward to doing something like this tour again.

We enjoyed the Food Tour of Brooklyn a great deal. Each experience was unique and fun. It was a good way to get to know the borough I was born in from a different perspective. Polish food, Pizza, Chocolate and Cuban Sandwiches. Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Dumbo and Sunset Park. A little too much driving and not enough walking would be my only concern. Highly recommended.

Lori our guide, and Al the driver both made the experience enjoyable. Lori took us to a handful of places where we sampled a variety of food. Surprisingly, most everyone had more than enough to eat, and all seemed to enjoy the food selections and the unique establishments we visited.

Isaac was our tour guide. He was very informative and chose fabulous food for our eating experience. Loved to see the sights and learn things about Brooklyn. Overall it was a very enjoyable day. We were sorry to see the tour end!

Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and its history. He made the tour very entertaining and the food come alive. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone and any other food tour that he is guiding.

It was a lovely day from beginning to end. Isaac was a truly knowledgeable and friendly guide. As native New Yorkers, my husband and I learned more about Brooklyn than we ever knew. The food, the bus, the other visitors, and our guide, were all perfect. Thank you all.

It would be good to end in Dumbo with the beautiful views and chocolates. Ending with Sunset Park was too much food and not as interesting as other places. Maybe start from there and work your way back...have the last stop in Russ and Daughters. Maybe they would do something in their new restaurant...also, it would be nice if an owner or manager welcomes us and say something about their stores. Totally enjoyable day. Tricia

our guide, laurie was great! i would have liked more tastings in the lower east side part of the tour. the driver & van were good too. i did think the tour was a little pricey however.

We had a wonderful time. My only comment would be about the food choices. The places where we stopped were fun but the food a bit heavy and not too healthy. I would rethink the menu alittle. All in all, informative and fun.

The Best of Brooklyn tour spent an hour in Manhattan. I live in Manhattan and I am very familiar with the west village and lower east side. I did not need to visit Yonah Schimmel's when I was looking to experience Brooklyn. But, the spots we hit in Brooklyn were awesome and the guide and driver were excellent. I would recommend the experience for tourists visiting NYC. It is not for locals.
