3-Course Dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse - City in New York City

On the positive side, Morton’s was a beautiful restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The downside is that you’re limited to a prix fixe menu with the choice of an appetizer, three entrées (8 ounce stake, salmon, or chicken), and a desert. The entree comes with sides of green beans and mashed potatoes The price of the experience is over $300, so I expected to get a better value than if I just walked in the door and paid cash. That was not the case. I could’ve gotten a steak twice that size and walked away with money in my pocket.

We were rushed (they brought the main before we’d even finished our starter, even though the restaurant was not busy). Coffee was supposed to be included and when we sat down we were asked “sparkling or still water?”. We were charged for both of these things - $10 plus tax for one bottle of water and $5.75 plus tax for the coffee that should have been included. Also, our voucher included gratuities, but our waitress told us “only 15% is included. Would you like to do more…?”. The quality of the food was ok (the steak was good, the rest average). This place was a big disappointment considering we spent $294! Overrated and not worth the money. Rude staff attitude.Would not recommend.
