What happens on the day
Have you ever been curious about glass blowing and wanted to give it a try? Well, now is your chance!
Set in the hot shop of a glass art school that is 100% solar powered, this 3-hour+ class is perfect for beginners. You’ll be working with hot molten glass straight from the furnace, so you’ll need extreme attention to detail and steady hands as well as a splash of creativity to master this skill.
Follow along as your instructor, a professional glassmaker, demonstrates exactly how it’s done. Learn the basics of working with hot glass and familiarize yourself with the state-of-the-art equipment and unique tools of the trade, like the glory hole, furnace, punty, jacks, diamond shears, and annealer.
Then it’s time to put your newfound knowledge and creative skills to the test as you create four to six of your very own glass creations. You’ll never look at a paperweight the same way after this exciting and hands-on Ultimate Introduction to Glass Blowing!
