Get ready to trek through a winter wonderland!
Your half-day adventure kicks off at El Monte Sagrado Resort, where you’ll meet your professional guide who’s First Aid/CPR and Leave No Trace certified. Here, you’ll be fitted with snowshoes and poles before enjoying a scenic drive to Amole Canyon in the Carson National Forest.
Your destination? A designated, beginner-friendly snowshoe trail surrounded by old-growth ponderosas and picture-perfect views of Picuris Peak. After a brief intro, you’ll be swishing down the trail in no time. And for the grand finale, you’ll savor a delicious, picnic-style lunch complete with folding chairs, hot beverages, and blankets.
