Your all-day adventure will begin with a convenient pick up from your accommodation in Gardiner, Montana. Board a comfortable SUV or minivan and make your way into America’s first national park.
Your expert guide will take you to some of the park’s best wildlife viewing locations. Using binoculars and high-quality spotting scopes, you’ll search the hills for the iconic grizzly. Equipped with massive claws, a huge muscular hump, and a distinct disc-shaped head, these animals are truly one of the park’s most remarkable animals. Observing these animals in the wild is one experience that you’ll never forget!
If you’re lucky, you may spot this enormous animal hunting for bison, elk, and other prey. As you look, your guide will share interesting grizzly facts and answer any questions that you may have. After a wonderful day of wildlife watching, you’ll head back to Gardiner.

- Please note: all non-US residents will be required to pay an additional $100 fee per person to enter the National Park. This fee will be collected prior to your tour in accordance with the National Park Service’s (NPS) new fee structure implemented on January 1, 2026.
- Non-US residents who have purchased a valid America the Beautiful (ATB) International Pass will be exempt from the additional fee; however, proof of pass is required.
- All US residents must bring a valid photo ID to prove residency

What can I expect on this tour?
You can expect to have a great time with friendly people and knowledgeable local tour guides. The goal is to have an amazing time while exploring Yellowstone National Park and looking for grizzly bears.
Will there be other people on this tour?
This is a private tour and will consist of you, your personal group of up to 5 individuals, and your guide.
What should I bring?
Bring your adventurous spirit, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera. While snacks and drinks are included, this tour does not include full meals. You may wish to bring your own lunch or purchase one within the park.
What should I wear?
Yellowstone's mountain climate can change rapidly. Bring clothes that are appropriate for a variety of weather conditions. We recommend wearing light layers that are easy to put on and take off. You may also want to bring along a rain jacket or poncho, hat, and gloves.
What is the accessibility of this experience?
All participants must be able to move themselves in and out of vehicle. If you require special accommodations, please contact Virgin Experience Gifts prior to booking to ensure your needs can be met.

Are we guaranteed to see a grizzly bear?
Yellowstone's animals are wild. Grizzly bear sightings are unfortunately not guaranteed. However, your expert guide will take you to some of the best viewing areas to increase your chances of viewing these magnificent creatures.
When is the best time to view bears?
Bears typically begin to wake up from hibernation in late March. Peak bear viewing season typically occurs between May and June. However, bears are active all summer until late November. Great viewing is also possible in July, August, and September during the bison and elk ruts!

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, no cancellations or rescheduling will be allowed. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
