What happens on the day

Your experience kicks off at a rafting outpost in Norway, Michigan. Here, your expert guide will equip you with everything you need for a safe and unforgettable adventure, including a helmet, PFD, and your choice of personal inflatable kayak or traditional whitewater raft. Then, you’ll enjoy a 10-minute shuttle ride to the shores of the Sturgeon River.
After a brief safety overview and paddling instruction, you’ll set off on a calm, flat-water stretch before entering your first set of Class I rapids. As you move into Black Rock Canyon, the river builds to exciting Class II rapids. The highlight? Riding over an 8-foot, two-tiered waterfall and taking on Corkscrew Rapid!
For the grand finale, you’ll take on a second run through the Power Dam Falls section before winding down with a snack and a relaxing swim in the river.
