What happens on the day
Take on the rapids of the Menominee River!
Your adventure begins at a rafting outpost in Norway, Michigan. There, your expert guide will provide everything you need for a safe and memorable trip, including a helmet, PFD, and paddles. From there, you’ll set off on a scenic shuttle ride to Niagara, Wisconsin.
After a brief safety overview and paddling instruction, you’ll begin on a calm, flat-water stretch surrounded by towering granite bluffs. Continue into Class I–II rapids before stopping at the Piers Gorge portage trail for a quick snack break. Then, you’ll tackle two runs through the gorge’s large, powerful, and totally exhilarating Class III and IV rapids.
For the grand finale, you’ll ease into a final stretch of Class I–II rapids before returning to the outpost.
