Your food tour kicks off at the Spirit of Detroit sculpture, where you’ll meet your expert guide and get an introduction to the city’s fascinating history. From there, you’ll visit a variety of local eateries, sampling signature dishes and local favorites, such as corned beef egg rolls, Detroit-style pizza, sweet baklava, and a surprise secret dish (tastings are subject to change).
Of course, there’s more to this tour than just great food! Along the way, you’ll uncover stories from Detroit’s past and discover how the city grew into one of the largest and wealthiest cities in America. Learn about the titans of industry who occupied Detroit’s famed skyscrapers and the working-class heroes who built the cars that helped get America moving.
