Located in Boston's historic South End, this beloved family-owned shop is known for its diverse selection of artisanal cheeses. From Italian Parmigiano Reggiano to fresh Vermont cheddar, Formaggio Kitchen takes pride in sourcing top-tier products from around the world.
Your experience begins with a guided tasting led by an expert cheesemonger. You’ll sample a selection of gourmet cheeses, each paired with flavorful accompaniments and wine. As you taste, you’ll learn about the unique characteristics, stories, and pairing tips behind each cheese.
Then, enjoy a private shopping consultation through the store’s extensive selection. Ask questions, get expert pairing advice, and discover new favorites to help you craft the perfect cheese board at home!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!
Year-Round:
Tuesday through Friday - 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturday - 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM
*Not available on holidays

Essential Information
- Participants must be at least 21 years old and bring their valid photo ID
- Guests can expect a snack-sized portion of cheese (about 4 ounces total) and tasting-sized pours of wine (about 2 ounces per glass)
- Additional cheese and other products are not included, but can be purchased separately from the shop
- This experience requires participants to stand. Chairs can be requested but are not guaranteed

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.
