Located in New England’s oldest town, this immersive living history museum brings the stories of the Wampanoag and English people to life. And now, you can experience the flavors of the 1600s firsthand. Following step-by-step guidance, you’ll prepare and enjoy thirded bread (an early colonial mix of corn, wheat, and rye flours), homemade butter, seasonal berry curd, and your choice of spinach or floral tansy (a traditional egg dish similar to frittata).
But the fun doesn’t end there. Before or after brunch, you can explore the museum’s historic exhibits, including the English Village, Historic Patuxet Homesite, Craft Center, and Henry Hornblower Visitor Center.
At each stop, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time while interacting with expert interpreters and witnessing remarkable recreations of the original settlement!
