What happens on the day
When asked to think about Salem, your first thought probably revolves around the town’s infamous witch trials. It’s true that Salem is no stranger to violence. Uncover more dark tales and meet the spirits that these events have left behind on this adults-only tour!
Your 90-minute adventure begins in front of the Burying Point Cemetery. Known as the most haunted cemetery in Salem, this burial ground is the final resting place for many significant historical figures. Listen as your guide brings their stories to life and be on the lookout for the woman in white. People say that her spirit roams this cemetery during the dead of night.
Next, you’ll visit the notoriously haunted Witch House. In the 1600s, this was the home of Jonathan Corwin, a supervisor of the pre-trial examinations for the Salem Witch Trials. Legend has it that this home harnesses an evil curse. Could Corwin’s involvement with the trials have led to the death of his five children? Work with your guide to unravel the past and find out who or what may be lurking in the house’s shadows.
You’ll hear even more bone-chilling tales on your way to the Hawthorne Hotel. From moving objects to phantom hands tugging on sheets, this hotel is teeming with paranormal activity. Be sure to take a few photos of the building’s windows. You might just be the next person to capture something odd.
