Food and Historical Tour in Annapolis

This was an amazing tour! We spent about 4 hrs walking around historic Annapolis, learning all about the area. And our food stops were fabulous! I highly recommend this your if you like walking, history, and good food. Our guide, Carolyn, was amazing!

Yesterday I finally went on my Annapolis food tour with my husband. It was a historic walking tour with delicious local food. We hit 4 restaurants: Harry Brown's, Galway Irish, Middleton's and Red Red Wine Bar. Carolyn, our tour guide, made it fun and was extremely knowledgeable. It was full of history, little secrets you would never know and ghost tales.

Our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Carolyn, met us promptly for a full afternoon walking excursion --- the Annapolis Food and Historical Tour. It was a great combination of interesting historical information and sites in downtown Annapolis, interspersed with several stops at local eating establishments. The food was delicious and plentiful.

We had Sam as our food tour guide and she was amazing. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and made us feel very comfortable. The food was great and very filling. I would recommend this to others.

Our tour guide, Carolyn, was very sweet and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour very much. Just the right amount of history for the tour. All the restaurants were great except for the Middleton Tavern and what we ate. They only served 1 shrimp the size of my thumb and 1 tiny oyster in a cup -- you had a choice. This was, in my opinion, a waste. Loved hearing the history, and I am not sure if it was the owner or manager who came over and spoke to us... He was very friendly but the quantity of food was ridiculous. They could of served something more. They did have a 4-oz. cup of beer which was refreshing. You need to evaluate the portion of food served. If the shrimp or oyster was too expensive to serve they need to choose something else. All other restaurants were great!

Carolyn was excellent. She had a great knowledge of Annapolis. We really enjoyed the restaurants we went to and the food. We would love to book another one. Thank you so much.

Sam, our food tour guide in Annapolis, was personable and fun to be with. She was knowledgeable on the area and sites we passed by. We have already recommended her and the Cloud 9 Living experience.

Not as advertised, but it was still awesome! This was our first food tour, and we didn't really know what to expect. Our tour guide was great! She had a great personality and shared some interesting stories with us at each historical stop besides the restaurants. She's been a tour guide for the some time and it showed. It was planned perfectly, and our group of 15 never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants. We had a delicious pizza appetizer at Red Red Wine Bar, then we had fresh Oyster shooters with beer at the second place. Then we had the best cream of crab soup and beer battered shrimp at Federal House. It wasn't until someone asked the tour guide about the Smith Island cake, sangria, popovers, and the coffee house that we found out none of that stuff is on the tour anymore. We didn't mind, though, because all the food we had was great. After Federal House we made a quick stop at a popcorn shop, and then we had our choice of 2 tacos each from Vida Taco Bar. For desert we had some homemade ice cream from Annapolis Ice Cream Co. By the time the tour was over, we were stuffed. Overall good time and great value!

This experience allowed my husband and I to taste foods that we would not have purchased under regular circumstances. The guide was an absolute walking history book, which made the experience even more exciting! I would do this again and would definitely look at purchasing one for a friend.

We had a very small intimate group -- only 4 of us (2 couples) with the guide. We had THE BEST guide -- Carolyn. She was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. She made our tour so enjoyable. We had never been to Annapolis before, and I want to go back already! We absolutely loved this experience. Would highly recommend it to others too.

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, and already have! We had a wonderful, fun, knowledgeable guide who really knew her stuff. We also met some great people within our group who really enhanced our experience. This was a fun, great way to get to know a city we had never visited before. We will definitely be booking this tour in other cities in the future!

My wife and I received the food tour as a gift from our children. While we have visited Annapolis, MD many times I left the food and history tour with a wealth of additional knowledge about the history of the city plus found some new places to eat. Our guide was extremely pleasant and very informed about the city.

Carolyn was super knowledgeable and shared so many wonderful stories, I was sure it was a historical tour and not really a food tour. So, if you are looking for an excellent history with good snacks, this one is for you.
