My son has stated that he has wanted to be a pilot since he was a little boy. Now that he is a young man and was able to go on this flight for his 16th birthday, it has increased his desire to fly. What happens on the day
Experience the adrenaline rush of taking the controls of an airplane and soaring through the air over beautiful New Orleans!
Once in the air, you will take the controls and do the majority of the flying with your FAA certified flight instructor by your side every step of the way.
30 Minute Demo Flight is a basic introduction to flying in a Cessna 172. Your pilot will take you up to the skies and show you some of the basics of flight.
Flight Lessons are available in 40, 50, and 80-minute increments. 20 minutes of each lesson are dedicated to ground school. The rest of the time will be used for a hands-on flight in a Cessna 152.
The Fundamentals of Flying Course is perfect for those who are interested in getting a Private Pilot Rating but are unsure if it is definitely right for them. This package includes 3 Lessons. Each lesson consists of a 60-minute ground school followed by a 60 minute flight in a Cessna 172. Flight Maneuvers Handbook and First Flight Log are also included. The flight hours and ground school time acquired during the lessons can be applied towards the Private Pilot Rating if you decide to continue with training.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience with the experience provider directly. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.

Pilot Cy was friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Plane for the demo flight was a little "worn" but if the pilot wasn't afraid to fly ... then you figure it must be safe enough. The whole staff at Flight Academy of New Orleans was welcoming.
