Massachusetts Avenue Food Tour in Indianapolis

Not being very familiar with Indianapolis, this was a great way to learn a little history, try great restaurants, and walk around the city. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. We look forward to doing another tour of a different part of the city to try more restaurants.

I bought this for my husband's birthday, and we didn't have a chance to use it for a while. We finally were able to use it, and we had a wonderful time! It was just something fun and different, without being too costly. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and we had a lot of fun learning about the city and enjoying the great food! I would highly recommend this to others. Thanks for having something "different" out there to do!

Our tour guide, Liz, was awesome! Even though we live in the area, we learned new things about the history of this great city. The restaurants we visited were very accomodating, and the food was fantastic!! Overall, an A+ experience!!!

My fiance and I very much enjoyed our "Taste of Indy" tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. She made our walk and dining experience a real treat. Each neighborhood and restaurant stop was rich with history. It was great meeting the other couples on our tour and sharing in the experience together. We both hope to take similar tours in the future. What a great Valentine's day gift! Thank you!

The Mass Avenue Food Tour was really good. The tour said it would be 4 or 5 destinations, however, it ended up only being 3. Also the first stop of Rathskellar for german food, was way too much food for 1 stop. By the time you ate there you were done. Each stop should be like a tapas portion not a full plate. The meals were all really good but I actually got a to go box at the first stop and then had to carry it the rest of the way. It was good for the money and a nice variety of food. My absolute favorite was Mesh where the food was superb. The Lockierby Pub food was also good and the owner spent a lot of time talking to us about the history and the beer that was sampled there. The Rathskellar was good but my least favorite. The server did not tell us any history of the place which it had tons of history to learn about. Also we were separated between 2 tables so some people heard things that the other table did not hear. The guide, that I can't think of her name right now, was really good at providing info about the various areas of town that we were in and pointed out things that were not observant to the normal person walking by.

The best part of this experience was spending time with my husband. The tour part, sadly, was rather boring; the experience didn’t need to be four hours. We would have rather heard more about the food. We literally walked into the second restaurant, sat down, plates were delivered, and no one knew what we were eating. Also, and this is probably our biggest complaint, we didn’t know the restaurants ahead of time. Two of the four ended up being in a food court at the Garage in Indy; with all the fantastic restaurants on Mass Ave, this was very unexpected.
