Feel a shiver run down your spine as you wander through a series of displays depicting torturous scenes. Each scene uses realistic wax sculptures and historic artifacts to evoke powerful emotions for each visitor. You’ll be able to see and experience the truly horrific history of medieval torture.
During your visit, you’ll have access to the museum’s complimentary audio guide. This immersive guide was recorded and performed by a professional actor and includes 42 gut-wrenching stories about the medieval devices. Hear the gory details behind each display, bone-chilling personal accounts, and so much more.
Finally, your museum visit also includes an interactive ghost hunting experience! Find and capture the museum’s spookiest spirits while learning the disturbing stories of how they died. All you have to do is download the app to your phone or smart device and get hunting!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

How does the audio guide work?
The museum's audio guide can be enjoyed on your phone or smart device. Simply pull up the guide and listen as you explore each exhibit. If you plan on using the audio guide, we recommend bringing a pair of earbuds.
Is this experience appropriate for children?
While all ages are welcome inside the museum, it is not recommended for children. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Is parking available?
The museum does not have its own parking area, but if the customers park at the garage located at 20 E Randolph St. the museum managers will validate their parking ticket. It will bring the price down to $9 for 6 hours of parking.
