- Before you climb aboard the plane, you will watch an orientation video, have a briefing with your instructor and get geared up with a jumpsuit, harness, altimeter, and goggles
What happens on the day
As your Super Twin Otter reaches an altitude of over 9,000 or 14,000 feet your instructor tells you its time. Your heart starts pounding from the adrenaline and excitement as you inch closer to the open aircraft door.
You peer over the edge and then, in a split second, you are on the most exciting thrill ride of your life with an expert instructor at your side. Experience a 30-second freefall with the 9,000 feet jump or a 60-second freefall with the 14,000 feet jump. As you fly through clouds, you feel a complete and total sense of freedom not found anywhere else in the world.
Once the canopy opens, and your parachute deploys, you can take in views of the famous Chicago area as you glide smoothly towards the ground.
All tandem jumpmasters have earned USPA's highest rating and have thousands of jumps to their credit. In a 30 year history, your skydive operator has introduced over 100,000 people to skydiving.

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!
May through October:
Monday through Friday - 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday - 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM

- There is a surcharge for any participants over the weight of 200 lbs
- There is a generous spectator area for family and friends to hang out with a bar & grill and free Wifi

Is it safe?
How old do you have to be to skydive?
In the US, jumpers must be 18 years or older to skydive.
How much experience do skydiving instructors have?
To become a skydiving instructor, a jumper must meet qualifications for a number of completed jumps, a number of years in the sport and go through an instructor training program. Tandem instructors must earn ratings from both the United States Parachute Association as well as the manufacturer of the gear they will be using to complete tandem jumps.
The experience provider does not hire anyone who simply meets the minimum qualifications. Their staff has years of experience, and must have a proven track record of safety and skill. Skydivers training to earn instructional ratings are mentored by their current staff long before they begin the process of becoming an instructor. They have many loyal staff members who return year after year. It speaks to their safety standards and professional business practices. They are able to recruit some of the best jumpers in the world. Their instructors have made thousands of jumps and received extensive training. Some members of their staff have made well over 15,000 skydives.
Should I eat or drink before my experience?
We suggest having a light meal before you jump. Most people who complain about feeling sick also admit to jumping on an empty stomach. Also, drink plenty of water! Being dehydrated can lead to feeling light-headed.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 5 days prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 5 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will receive a rain check valid for 1 year and can reschedule your experience directly with the experience provider.

Fantastic experience! The whole crew made my first time more memorable than I expected! They gave me a tour of the place, answered all my questions and kept a casual conversation with me up until the point of the jump so that I felt more comfortable the entire time! The jump itself was phenomenal, air rushing past my face and my tandem skydiving instructor doing his best to make sure I had a blast while speeding towards the ground! 10/10 would jump again, and when I do it'll be at their facility!
