You'll board a historic fire fighting boat, a floating museum decorated with photos of the boat in action as well as fire fighting artifacts. Chicago has a famous history with fire fighting, most notably with the Chicago fire of 1871 that transformed the cityscape. You’ll get a tangible sense of what it was like to be a firefighter back in the early 1900s and discover tales of the courageous firefighters who helped protect the city.
As you cruise from Lake Michigan to the Chicago River, you'll see some of the most iconic buildings in the city, including the Tribune Tower, Marina City, the Wrigley Building, and more. Experts in architecture will share the details of these buildings as well as the history of how the city was shaped and reshaped over time.
