Your relaxing day out on the water will begin with a quick shuttle ride to the paddleboard launch site. You’ll be equipped with an extra-wide paddleboard, paddle, personal flotation device, and a dry bag for your personal belongings. Before you set out on your adventure, local rental staff will provide you with a basic lesson in paddleboarding. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is to balance on your board, and you’ll soon be paddling the river like a pro!
Beginning in South Bates, you’ll paddle approximately 3.5 miles along the winding Teton River to Bates Bridge. Ideal for beginners, this portion of the river is calm, wide, and passes through the breathtaking Teton Valley. Enjoy expansive views of the Big Hole Mountains, the Snake River Range, and of course, the rugged Tetons! You’ll also paddle past picturesque, open fields and incredible farmlands with storybook barns.
After a fun and relaxing paddle, your rental will conclude at the Bates River access. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Driggs, you can continue your adventure by exploring this laid-back mountain town.

What should I bring?
In addition to swimming gear for the river, optional items include sunscreen, sunglasses, a waterproof camera, and an extra change of clothes.
Do I need previous experience?
Nope! This 3.5-mile paddle is perfect for beginners and takes place on a calm and wide portion of the Teton River.
Will there be a guide with us?
No. This is a paddleboard rental package. While this experience does include a lesson in paddleboarding from a certified instructor, the paddling portion is not guided.

Cancellation Policy
