What happens on the day
Ride into paradise on this fun and fascinating ATV tour on Big Island!
Beginning in Holualoa, you’ll gear up and hop on a state-of-the-art ATV before following your guide into a lush jungle, where ancient Hawaiians once lived, worked, and played. Along the way, you’ll stop at four unique villages, each representing a different island and Polynesian culture.
On the Island of Hawaii, you’ll discover the origins of the luau and sample freshly prepared poi, a traditional dish made from taro root. Then, continue to a Fijian-inspired village, where you’ll test your skills throwing a traditional spear and try your hand at pineapple smashing.
Next, explore the Island of Tonga, learn the ma‘ulu‘ulu (a traditional seated dance), and discover how wooden drums were used in ceremonial celebrations. For the grand finale, visit the Island of Samoa, where you’ll see their traditional living quarters and even learn how to crack open a coconut using a small rock.
