What happens on the day
Fly with a certified instructor by your side for a bird's eye view of beautiful Lookout Mountain, one of Georgia's most scenic areas!
Altitudes to 1500 feet or 3000 feet are offered. Both altitudes will take off in the valley, and passengers will be slowly towed up behind an ultralight airplane with a certified instructor. Once the altitude is reached, you will enjoy the views while flying around before you gently roll back onto our grassy landing zone where you first started.
You will be amazed by the grace of this aerial dance, tandem hang gliding is truly a once in a lifetime experience!

When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions, and your experience with us begins!

How do you launch and land a tandem hang gliding flight?
All of the tandems are towed up behind an ultralight airplane that was designed specifically for towing hang gliders. This means that your tandem flight will launch and land on wheels. Both you and your tandem pilot will be flying, launching and landing in a prone, lying down position. No running involved.
Can I bring my camera?
You can bring your camera with you on the flight. They cannot risk the possibility of you dropping or damaging your camera, so you will not be allowed to take pictures. Instead just enjoy your flight, check out the beautiful view, learn how to steer the glider. They will take the pictures for you ($25 charge).
How fast do you fly?
The trim speed of a hang glider is about 18-20 MPH. Trim speed is defined as the speed a glider is flying when the pilot is flying hands off. Most gliders stall at around 15 MPH, are towed at about 33-35 MPH, and reach top speeds of 45-65 MPH (depending upon the glider model).
What is the difference between a hang gliding and para gliding?

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Gifts.
Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 14 days prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.
