Immerse yourself in an eco-tour on the waters of the Weeki Wachee River and look for the awesome wildlife that can be seen at both times of day!
Begin your tour with a brief paddling lesson before your experienced local guide takes you out from Mary’s Fish Camp in your clear tandem kayak. You will paddle along the estuary of the river and through a salt marsh, enjoying the wonderful tranquility and golden light as the sun sinks below the horizon.
The quiet, the time of day, and the combination of fresh and saltwater create the ideal environment to spot some of the varied wildlife. Your crystal-clear kayak makes it easier to spot creatures in the water such as fish, otters, manatees, sea turtles, and sting rays. There are also a myriad of birds and some intriguing plant life.
