What happens on the day
Watch manatees on the Weeki Wachee River during manatee season from the vantage point of your clear kayak!
This guided tour offers tranquility and awesome natural beauty as you paddle from Mary’s Fish Camp, down a brackish estuary, to the Weeki Wachee River. Spend 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the crystal-clear waters of this beautiful river and watch for some of the manatees that use the river as their warm-water winter home. You may also spot turtles, otters, dolphins, alligators, sting rays, a multitude of birds and fish, and a wealth of plants that grow on the banks.
It’s not necessary to be a skilled paddler to get the most from this ecotour. The paddle upstream is not demanding, and the return to the launch site is a drift paddle.
You can share the memorable tour – and your tandem kayak – with a partner, friend, family member, or fellow nature lover.
