This is a fun and interactive way to explore Lido Key, one of the most beautiful areas near Sarasota Bay. It’s teaming with wildlife, but have no fear, there are no gators here. Once you're feeling confident in your paddling skills, you'll set out for an unforgettable day on the water.
You'll explore the bay in search of dolphins and manatees. You may be lucky enough to spot them, and some may come right up to your kayak to say hello. Following this tour of the bay, you’ll paddle into the lush mangrove tunnels, created by the twisting roots and branches of mangrove trees. Paddle your kayak into these cozy, naturally-occuring tunnels as sunlight peaks through the leaves, bathing you in a green-gold light. You'll feel like you've entered a fantastical new world!
This 2-hour adventure gives you ample time to bask in the beauty of Lido Key. This area is home to a stunning variety of birds, so keep your eyes peeled for osprey, pelicans, and great blue heron. The local cormorants are friendly and curious, swimming right alongside your kayak. If there is time, your guide will take you to a secluded beach for a quick dip in the tropical water.
