About Your Instructor Jeff Sorenson:
Jeff is an accomplished player amassing 134 professional victories, 10 of them being Minnesota Majors including 5 wins in the Minnesota PGA Championship. He has been awarded the Minnesota PGA Player of the Year in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2016 and 2018, 2021, and 2023. Twice Jeff has finished in 3rd place for the National PGA Player of the Year award and has qualified and played in two PGA Championships in 2011 and 2013.
Jeff Sorenson is entering his 25th year as a PGA Golf Professional. He started his life's work in golf at age of 12 as a caddy at Edinburgh USA and continued from caddy to member services to golf shop assistant. Jeff applied for and received the Evans Scholarship to attend the University of Minnesota. After his junior year of college, he was hired as an assistant professional at Edinburgh USA. He finished his senior year and received a BS in Small Business Management and a minor in Coaching. He worked as an assistant until 2004 at Edinburgh with an emphasis on teaching. In 2004 Jeff took a teaching professional job at Victory Links in Blaine at the National Sports Center and in 2005, a teaching professional position at Columbia GC opened up. Jeff played some of his youth golf there and had ties to the Minneapolis golf staff, so he took the position and taught there during the golf season for 10 years. Along with giving private lessons, he was very active in giving adult group lessons and teaching The First Tee program.

No, your lesson will not be with a famous golfer from the professional tour. Rather, your lesson will be with a qualified instructor who has received his Class A certification from the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA).
What is a PGA Class A Professional?
The golf instructor has been certified by the Professional Golf Association (PGA) as Class A professionals. In order to receive a PGA Class A, the instructor must have completed a multi-year series of work, study and training in every aspect of golf, must pass an aptitude test, and must maintain expertise through continuing education programs.
What will the lesson focus on?
This is a customized lesson for golfers of all levels, from beginners to experienced golfers looking to hone their skills. Areas of instruction may include driving, putting, chipping, proper body alignment, grip, posture, ball position, swing mechanics and more.
