What happens on the day
Meet, greet, and snap selfies with some of Africa’s most loveable animals!
Located in Kenansville, the Wild Florida Gator Park is home to over 200 different species of animals, including two curious African Crested Porcupines. These incredible critters are some of the largest rodents in Africa and are equipped with 12 to 13-inch quills. Don’t worry though, the park’s two porcupines, Stella and Safari, are docile and love meeting new people!
During your 15-minute encounter, you’ll enter the porcupine’s Africa-inspired exhibit. As soon as you step inside, don’t be surprised if Stella and Safari greet you with a series of curious sniffs. You’ll discover each porcupine’s unique personalities while learning fascinating facts from a professional animal trainer. You’ll even get the chance to take photos and gently pet your prickly new friends. Before saying goodbye to the porcupines, you’ll meet their roommates including African Sulcata tortoises and a few native birds.
Your adventure doesn’t end there! All-day access to the Wild Florida Gator Park is included with your encounter. Explore the park at your own pace and see a variety of other exotic animals including lemurs, bobcats, two-toed sloths, and of course, alligators!

Can I take pictures?
Yes, you are welcome to take photos during the encounter.
Will I get to hold the porcupine?
No. However, during the animal encounter, participants will be able to pet and take their own photos of the animals while a trainer shares facts about the animal and their unique personality.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 24 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
