Once considered endangered, manatees have seen a significant improvement in population and habitat conditions over the past few years. On this tour, you will get to visit these majestic animals in their natural habitat! Florida's Blue Spring State Park is famous for its population of West Indian Manatees who spend their winters in the warmer waters of the park.
Your tour will begin with a paddle over to the entrance of the spring, where the manatees typically spend their days relaxing. There, your guide will instruct you to park your kayaks on the shore and take you on a nature walk along the entire length of the spring run. Your professional guide is a certified Florida Master Naturalist and is passionate about animal conservation and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the plants and animals.

FAQs
Are children welcome on the tour?
Absolutely! Children of all ages are welcome, but they must know how to swim in the case of emergency. Small children will be paired with their adult chaperone in a tandem kayak.
Are there any weight restrictions?
No, but please let us know at the time of booking if you weigh more than 225 pounds so arrangements can be made for an appropriately sized vessel.
Will water be available?
Bottled water will be provided for drinking.
What do I need to bring?
All required equipment for the tour will be provided (including life vests). You may want to bring a waterproof camera. Sun protection is advised.
When am I most likely to see manatees?
You are most likely to see manatees Early-November to Early-March as the waters are a bit cooler during this time. That said, manatees can potentially be seen year-round, along with other animals such as bear, otters, and various birds!

It was such a nice adventure! our guide Sue was very knowledgable and made us feel comfortable with the equipment and the environment. We saw really cool creatures. The only thing I wish is that the trip would have been a little bit shorter, due that we are not used to use a kayak so by the last portion of the trip we were really tired and wish we didn't have to go further than needed. Other than that was really cool adventure.
